Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler - 2nd Shift
Job Description
The individual will be responsible for ensuring that the product is handled properly through critical tasks such as loading, unloading, weighing, bagging, packing, unpacking, and labeling of pallets. The role involves palletizing frozen meat from the chest freezer and placing it on pallets to be shipped out. The individual will also operate a sit-down forklift to move products efficiently.
Responsibilities
Load and unload products onto pallets.
Weigh and bag items for shipment.
Pack and unpack items as necessary.
Label pallets accurately for shipment.
Palletize frozen meat from the chest freezer.
Operate a sit-down forklift to move products safely.Essential Skills
Proficiency in warehouse operations and general labor.
Experience in material handling.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Skillful operation of a forklift.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a warehouse or similar environment is beneficial.Work Environment
The work environment is colder due to handling frozen materials, typically around 50 degrees in winter and 80 degrees in summer. Employees should be comfortable with the strong smell associated with frozen meat, specifically totes of chicken parts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.79 - $18.79/hr.
