Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler with experience in small part assembly, preferably in electrical and wiring. The ideal candidate will be familiar with using hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, rulers, and crimpers. You should be able to stand for long periods, work overtime, and be open to both day and swing shifts. Comfortability with small parts is necessary, and training will be provided for photonic cable assembly.
Responsibilities
Follow established assembly instructions for fiber optic cables and products.
Maintain a minimum standard quota for job assignments, based on time and/or piece count.
Comply with all safety requirements and company policies and procedures.
Achieve an intermediate level understanding of tool names and their use in assembly.
Develop entry level component identification and product knowledge.
Understand and apply standard and metric measurements, using conversion tools.
Perform tasks accurately and thoroughly to ensure quality product delivery.
Report any irregularities related to daily goals, quality, or delays to production management.
Utilize basic problem-solving skills to identify and address issues, initiating constructive change.Essential Skills
1+ Year of small part assembly experience, preferably in electrical/wiring.
Experience with hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, rulers, and crimpers.
Ability to stand for long periods and work overtime.
Willingness to work day and swing shifts.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
High level of attention to detail.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Basic measurement skills using both standard and metric.
Basic English skills for clear verbal and written communication.
Ability to reason and analyze.

Work Environment
Work in a clean environment manufacturing fiber optics for government and private customers. Employees will wear a basic gown, similar to a lab coat, in a clean room type setting. Day shifts are from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, with frequent overtime on Fridays. Swing shifts are from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, Monday to Friday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.50/hr.
