Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Door Assembler to join our team, specializing in assembling custom steel commercial doors. This role involves interpreting blueprints and work orders to pull various parts together, assembling door components, and ensuring quality standards are met. The position offers the opportunity to work independently within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
Read blueprints to assemble custom steel commercial doors.
Pull various parts from work orders to assemble doors.
Assemble hinges, door knobs or handles, side rails, and other components.
Install glass into door frames.
Review the quality of assembly to ensure customer readiness.
Assist in other plant areas for general production as needed.
Participate in general cleaning around the work area.
Operate chop saws or commercial saws to cut steel or glass.Essential Skills
Experience as a door assembler, carpenter, or in construction assembly.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.
Ability to read blueprints.
Mechanical assembly skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to lift 50 to 65 pounds of steel.
Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
Preferred 2 years of experience in steel assembly, construction, carpentry, or remodeling.
2 years of experience operating various power tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
