Job Description
Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury and automobile negligence actions, including experience with UM/UIM, PIP, and defending other civil actions. Experience with high-volume litigation client is a plus.
This position requires a high level of motivation, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage a litigation caseload from inception through trial and appeals. The ideal candidate should demonstrate good judgment, strong and professional communication skills, and a friendly, outgoing demeanor. While the candidate will primarily support matters across the firm’s footprint, they will have flexibility regarding their work location. Responsibilities include:
Analyze insurance policies and draft insurance coverage opinions
Analyze extensive medical records and other documents relevant to each action
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
Manage litigation caseloads, including depositions, court appearances, and motion practice, both independently and under supervision.
Perform in-depth legal research and responding to regulatory inquiries.
Maintain strong client relationships by adhering to client guidelines and delivering exceptional service.
Accurately record and maintain billable hours while ensuring all deadlines are met.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Admission to practice in the State of New York is required.
At least 5 years in defense litigation.
Experience defending personal injury and automobile negligence actions, including UM/UIM, PIP, and other civil actions
Federal Court experience is a plus.
Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills, with a commitment to delivering error-free work.
Experience with written discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
Insurance defense experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience and skill set. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, short-term and long-term disability insurance, 401(k), flexible work options, and paid time off.
For New York Applicants: Salary range: $35.00–$70.00/hour ($72,800.00–$145,600.00), plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual salary offered will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
