Job Description

About the Role

Ensures that all specification sheets and drawings are maintained. Performs first piece, in-process, and final inspections ensuring all quality standards are met. Continually monitoring quality systems for compliance.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Fully develop and maintain facility gauge calibration/certification system and associated documentation.

Utilize statistical methodologies to monitor and/or analyze production/quality data.

Serve in team leadership role in the development and ongoing administration of SPS - Quality Pillar.

Coordinate the facility's "Hold For Inspection - HFI" process.

Conduct GMP and Safety trainings for associates

Fully develop and administer corrective action process encompassing internal/external quality issues and audit findings.

Serve as an integral part of the audit program.

Serve in a back-up role to the facility HAACP Leader.

Coordinate the facility's document control process.

Assist and/or lead efforts toward the development of quality system improvements.

Assist in the coordination/administration of product/color qualification activities.

Must be committed to providing our customers a product that is safe and meets specifications, regulations and statutory requirements.

Run gauge repeatability and reproducibility checks (GR&R)

Keep AVID machine programming updated

Support the testing process for microbiological reports.

Coordinate raw material delivery testing

Maintain quality databases and systems

About You

3-5 years' experience in Quality (or related) field, preferably in a plastics manufacturing environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to coordinate/administer multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to work with deadlines and stay on task with multiple priorities

Preferred:

2-4 year degree in a technical or science based field

Audit Certification from accredited organization

Experience in the development and/or administration of training materials

Exposure and/or prior experience with MiniTab, AVID programming, SAP, and RealSPC software applications

Knowledge of and/or experience in Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies

Knowledge of and/or experience in the administration of Team-Oriented Problem-Solving Techniques

Prior experience in the administration/coordination of corrective measures (internal and external)

Familiarity with plastics quality lab equipment and tools

Prior experience in the development of gage calibration and/or document control systems
