Job Description
Summary
As an Accountant, you will be performing a variety of tasks, including processing invoices, maintaining accounts payable records, reconciling transactions, and assisting with maintaining accurate financial records. You will help ensure that all financial operations are executed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Prime Responsibilities
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Produce error-free accounting reports
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment
Process sales tax payments and filings
Assist with tax audits and returns
Assist with completion of internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Assist with the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Bookkeeping Skills
Data Entry Skills
Attention to detail
Work individually and within a team environment
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
5+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
