We are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join our growing team.

About the role

The PE is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of our fiber optic systems.Duties include developing plans, solving design challenges, managing projects, as well as coordinating with contractors. This individual will ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop multiple fiber OSP and Network Equipment.

Select the appropriate type of fiber optic cable for specific needs and ensure proper installation technique.

Perform tests to verify the performance of fiber optic systems and ensure their ongoing maintenance and reliability.

Ensure that fiber optic systems meet relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

Identify and troubleshoot issues related to fiber optic cable systems, including signal loss, connectivity problems, and equipment malfunctions.

Stamp and seal engineering drawings.

Analyze GIS data to design fiber optic cable systems.

Plan resource allocation, schedules, and inspections.

Inspect construction sites and monitor activity as needed.

Qualifications:

5 years of engineering experience specifically in Fiber to the Home (FTTH), Fiber Optical Distribution Networks, or IT Networks preferred.

Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

Strong knowledge of industry laws and regulations.

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited program, typically in electrical, telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with fiber optic networks.

Valid Drivers License & clean driving record.
