Controls Engineer Intern

Job Description

AST is seeking a Controls Engineering Intern to join our Engineering Team for the Y2025 summer internship period. This is a full-time position that is located onsite in Tacoma, Washington.

The compensation range for onsite WA applicants is $22.50 to $25.00 an hour. All applicants are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

Assist in control systems designs for simple automation, including robotics, vision, PLC, HMI, and other peripheral and modular codes.

Assist with documentation, technical writing, and research.

Participate in the installation/startup/testing of machinery at AST.

Perform machine testing, experiments, and debugging.

Assist with factory acceptance testing with documented results.

Other tasks as assigned.

Pursuing bachelor’s degree in an Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering curriculum.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
