You Are:

The Deltek Business Application Lead Senior Manager is part of the internal IT organization responsible for overseeing and managing the suite of business applications that support Finance, Contracts Management, and Time Entry processes within the organization. This role ensures that these applications are aligned with business needs, operate efficiently, and are continuously improved to meet evolving requirements. This position will be responsible for managing the Deltek Costpoint system configuration, ensuring data integrity, providing user support and training, along with driving continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial management processes. Additionally, this role will support system administration, optimization, and utilization of Deltek Costpoint system. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Deltek Costpoint Systems, strong technical and analytical skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing enterprise financial systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and project management, to streamline processes, enhance system functionality, and maximize the potential of Costpoint.

In this role you will:

Perform Costpoint functional projects. Partner with our stakeholders to understand their goals and develop solutions to achieve them.

Assist stakeholders in optimizing Costpoint and achieving top functionality.

Conduct system reviews, system design/setup, and ensure compliance.

Support the stakeholders with expert Costpoint knowledge, training, and analysis.

Understand and achieve project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Actively communicate with Directors; provide upward feedback.

Actively identify and implement ways to improve processes and your work.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all Deltek Costpoint system-related activities within the region and organization.

Collaborate with finance and accounting, and supply chain management teams to analyze business needs, identify system gaps, and recommend process improvements.

Manage the optimization and configuration of Deltek Costpoint modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Costing, Procurement and Time, to align with the organization’s financial operations.

Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures related to Deltek Costpoint, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and user adoption.

Provide user support and training to employees utilizing the Deltek Costpoint Systems, including troubleshooting system issues, resolving user queries, and delivering training sessions to enhance system proficiency.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Deltek Costpoint Systems, overseeing data imports and exports, conducting regular data integrity checks, and addressing any data-related issues.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of Costpoint with other systems and applications, fostering data integrity and process automation including the development of system configuration/architecture diagrams.

Monitor system performance, identify areas for optimization, and implement necessary enhancements or upgrades to meet evolving business needs.

Stay up to date with the latest Deltek Costpoint releases, features, and industry best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, leveraging the capabilities of the Deltek Costpoint Systems to support compliance activities and audits.

Manage relationships with Deltek or other system vendors, coordinating support and maintenance activities, and collaborating on issue resolution and system enhancements.

Lead system-related projects, including scoping projects, creating project plans, managing resources, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely project delivery.

Facilitate external audit and review of systems required to meet corporate or client obligations

Key Responsibilities:

Application Oversight:

Manage the lifecycle of business applications related to Finance, Contracts Management, and Time Entry, including implementation, maintenance, and upgrades.

Ensure applications are compliant with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations teams to understand their needs and translate them into application requirements.

Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding application-related inquiries and issues.

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency within Finance, Contracts Management, and Time Entry processes.

Implement automation and integration solutions to enhance application functionality.

Vendor and Partner Management:

Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure timely delivery of services, updates, and support for business applications.

Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with software providers.

Data Integrity and Reporting:

Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all applications.

Develop and maintain reporting tools to provide actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Training and Support:

Provide training and support to end-users to maximize application adoption and effectiveness.

Address technical issues and coordinate with IT teams for resolution.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for business applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

Experience in federal government contracting

Strong understanding of financial processes, contract lifecycle management, and time tracking systems.

Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, processes, and best practices.

Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with enterprise software solutions such as ERP systems, contract management platforms, and time entry tools.

Proven experience as a Deltek Costpoint Manager

Key Competencies:

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify system issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within the system.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

Strong knowledge of Deltek Costpoint products such as Deltek modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Costing, Procurement and Time & Expense.

Proficiency in configuring, administering, and supporting Deltek Costpoint, including user access controls, security settings, and system configurations.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with system integrations, data migration, and report writing tools (e.g., Cognos, SQL) is a plus.

Certifications in Deltek Costpoint or related fields are highly desirable.

Working knowledge in Deltek Modules SQL Tables and their structure

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$186,300—$360,800 USD
