Freedom Boat Club of Wilmington is looking for a Seasonal Fleet Technician I who thrives in a hands-on, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment. As a Fleet Technician I, you'll be the hands and heart of our fleet operations. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you'll ensure every boat in our fleet is impeccably maintained, functional, safe, and ready for our members to enjoy.

This role offers dynamic, real-world experience with marine systems, giving you the chance to "take the helm" in maintaining vessels and upholding a gold standard of safety, performance, and presentation.Key Responsibilities

Prep and bottom-paint vessels to ensure peak performance

Clean, detail, and compound hulls to keep boats looking pristine

Use and maintain power tools and shop equipment with safety and care

Service bilge and live well pumps, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues

Perform preventative maintenance and document it accurately in Fleetio

Launch, load, and tow vessels with precision

Work dockside to assess, diagnose, and resolve member-reported concerns

Stay organized and communicate daily with the Fleet Manager and teammates

Every task you take on helps keep our fleet running smoothly-and our members smiling. Qualifications

18+ years old with high school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours, including summer holidays, and weekends.

Comfortable towing trailers, launching boats, and working in and around water

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions

Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

Basic technical savvy for logging service entries and communication
