Role Overview:

As a Student Success Advisor, you will be integral to our mission of fostering student success. You will engage with students to assess their needs, provide guidance, and develop supportive initiatives that promote their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Provide personalized academic support and career guidance tailored to individual student needs.

Monitor academic performance and attendance, identifying intervention strategies for at-risk students.

Facilitate access to resources, academic support services, and career planning tools.

Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote student retention and success.

Conduct orientation and workshops to introduce students to available resources and supports.

Document and track student interactions and progress, maintaining accurate records.

Organize and lead student engagement events to enhance community and connection among students.

Requirements

Previous experience in student advising or a similar role, ideally in the education or beauty sector.

Experience in student mentoring, advising, or coaching, particularly within the beauty or educational sectors.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students.

Understanding of the educational challenges faced by students and strategies for overcoming them.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and foster partnerships.

Excellent organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing multiple responsibilities.

A genuine passion for helping students succeed in their educational and career pursuits.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $50,000 Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
