Established in 1961, IMA is a world leader in the development and production of automatic machines for the processing and packaging of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, tea and coffee products, as well as in automation of the industrial process. We are currently looking for someone to join our finance team in Accounts Payable and Receivable. This is a team oriented role and one that requires customer interaction to resolve account issues and strong organizational and record keeping skills. Experience in a global manufacturing environment is a plus.

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week M-F located here at our office in Leominster, MA.

IMA is looking to fill an Accounts Payable/ Receivable role. The ideal candidate possesses strong Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize. Work focuses around classifying and entering numerical data into financial software to complete financial records. Helps with monthly reconciliations and support the month-end closing process.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Automate manual processes to save time and be more efficient.

Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.

Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.

Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

Maintaining documentation for accounts payable and receivable.

Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.

Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.

Assisting the accounting manager as needed.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

Demonstrates a dynamic, cheerful & positive attitude in daily activities.

Capability to be resourceful and to think/act independently and able to request support when necessary.

Excellent computer/typing/keyboard skills.

Good telephone, e-mail and interpersonal communications skills.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED AND PREFERRED:

A 4-year Bachelor’s degree is required but equivalent work-history/experience will be considered. Working in a technical environment is a benefit but not required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. Experience with business ERP systems (such as SAP) is also a benefit.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Physical ability sufficient to effectively walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time. Manual dexterity sufficient to effectively use a computer keyboard. Visual acuity to interact with computer terminal. Communication skills to positively interact with others. Tolerance to eye and upper body stress associated with extended periods working with computer terminals and sitting. Periodic lifting of up to 52 lbs. (Paper, CPU’s printers, monitors, computer forms, etc.) Routine office environment in one-story building.
