We're looking for a Controller to help ensure Medicreations remains on a strong financial footing. You will be a key player in managing our accounting, financial reporting, and operational performance. Working within the finance department, you'll be an integral part of both day-to-day activities and the long-term financial strategy of the company.

Role Overview:
As the Controller, you will oversee all financial operations, including accounting transactions, budget management, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with the executive team, providing strategic financial insights that contribute to Medicreations' growth and success. Your role will involve managing the preparation of financial statements, overseeing internal controls, and ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Excellence & Strategic Insights
Lead the timely preparation and insightful presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing essential clarity and transparency that empower strategic decisions.
Ensure meticulous compliance with GAAP and regulatory reporting standards, reinforcing trust with stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Deliver comprehensive financial analyses, highlighting key performance indicators and trends, to equip senior management and stakeholders with actionable insights and informed decision-making.
Cost Accounting & Operational Efficiency
Implement and optimize sophisticated cost accounting systems that precisely track manufacturing costs, enhancing profitability and operational efficiency.
Continuously monitor cash flow and proactively forecast financial positions, ensuring liquidity, strategic capital allocation, and effective risk management.
Cultivate and maintain productive banking relationships, expertly managing treasury functions including credit facilities and foreign exchange, safeguarding the company's financial health.
Internal Controls & Compliance Leadership
Design and implement rigorous internal controls, clearly documented and continuously improved, protecting company assets and ensuring unwavering compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and external regulations.
Direct and manage audit processes, liaising effectively with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth operations and maintain corporate integrity.
ERP System Stewardship
Oversee and enhance the financial and operational modules of the ERP system, ensuring accurate integration across manufacturing, inventory, financial, and reporting functions to streamline operations and improve data-driven decision-making.
Strategic Business Partner & Risk Management
Collaborate closely with executive leadership, offering strategic financial analysis and insights that guide long-term business growth and success.
Proactively identify financial and operational risks, developing strategic mitigation plans that safeguard company interests and drive resilience.
Team Development & Leadership
Inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing accounting and finance team, setting clear expectations and fostering professional development to build a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
Tax Planning & Regulatory Proactivity
Partner effectively with external tax advisors and legal counsel to manage tax strategies and ensure full compliance, minimizing risk and optimizing opportunities.
Remain vigilant and proactive regarding evolving industry and regulatory changes, promptly advising leadership of potential impacts and opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Value Creation
Act as a trusted financial advisor to Operations, R&D, Marketing, and Sales, providing critical insights into pricing strategies, product profitability, cost management, and continuous process improvements.
Evaluate capital investments and new product initiatives rigorously, delivering clear ROI analyses that inform sound, strategic investment decisions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of proven experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Expertise in QuickBooks or ERP systems e.g. Netsuite, Epicor, Acumatica
Strong understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills are essential.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workloads, and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Calm and professional demeanor with a willingness to take responsibility and make informed decisions.
Analytical mindset, capable of solving complex financial issues.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the medical device or manufacturing industry.
HR knowledge and experience is a bonus but not required.
Familiarity with tax regulations, audits, and financial compliance
