The CNC Machining Shop Manager is responsible for the quality and output of less than 10 CNC machinists on 7 vertical machining centers and 3 CNC lathes. This is a working manager position.

Job Title: CNC Machining Shop Manager (Direct Hire)

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire

Hours: First shift Monday – Friday (7:00-3:30pm)

Location: Montgomeryville, PA.

Pay: $47-49/hour DOE

Essential job duties for this role will include:

Managing / working alongside machinists:

Produces precision machined parts by, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Plans machining by reviewing work order releases, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances

Programs / works with programmers on mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

Sets-up mills by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, indicating vices. Design and produce proper fixturing.

We’re looking for a CNC Machining Shop Manager professional with the following background profile/skillset:

To be a successful applicant you be a skilled CNC machinist and (programmer) with at least 5 years experience in programming and close tolerance machining from a job shop background.

Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal and written Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Tooling, Coordination, Attention to Detail, Judgment.

Must have excellent blueprint reading skills. Must have excellent organizational and housekeeping skills.

Collaborates with the general manager, president, and engineering department.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Keen attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills

Maintain an orderly work environment with an ability to manage and meet deadlines
