Sales & Fulfillment Specialist

Job Description

Mayer Fabrics is seeking a Sales & Fulfillment Specialist to join our dynamic Sales & Fulfillment team. In this fast-paced role, you'll be a key player in providing outstanding service to our customers and sales representatives. You will manage a dedicated regional sales territory while also supporting the greater Mayer Fabrics customer base. This position involves daily communication with clients, processing orders and samples, and sharing product knowledge with professionalism and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer orders via email, phone, or fax with speed and accuracy.

Monitor orders from entry through to shipment—same-day shipping expected for most orders received by 2:00 PM.

Enter and fulfill sample requests, ensuring same-day shipment for most requests.

Communicate stock status, pricing, lead times, and product specifications.

Update customers on backorders and coordinate with the Purchasing Department.

Support sales representatives with project tracking, customer updates, and order delays.

Assist customers with re-selections and suggest product alternatives as needed.

Build relationships with customers and sales reps to foster loyalty and long-term partnerships.

Develop product expertise in the Mayer Fabrics line, including finishes, uses, and popular patterns.

Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Familiarity with CRM systems.

Proven ability to build rapport with clients.

Detail-driven and deadline-conscious.

College education preferred.
