Job Description
Shift Machine Operator
Produce parts by operating the assigned machine. Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies.
Principal Responsibilities:
Plan, understand, and interpret drawings, specifications, material, and operating instructions before and while running operations and equipment
Produce and inspect parts against drawings specifications within time allotted; ensuring product meets specified quality standards.
Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and fixtures/gauges to check work to drawings
Verify initial product quality checks and complete all processing operations
Update related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasks
Lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects
Stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks
Demonstrate safe work habits
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Detail oriented
Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated
Basic math skills
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience
2nd & #rd Shift Shift Diff: $2.00, per hour
