Job Description
Quality Control (QC) is required to be able to check parts, with using various types of gages. QC is responsible for First Article Inspection, In-process Inspection, and Final Inspection. QC is required to understand the Quality Process involving these inspection points. QC is required to write up any NCRS and report them to Shop Manager, and Quality Coordinator. QC does not determine disposition of NCR, until communicating with Shop Manager and Quality Coordinator.
Required Knowledge:
- At least 2 years’ experience in Quality Inspection in Machining Operations.
- Having the ability to read and understand Blue Prints.
- Must know how to use various quality gages to check parts.
- Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office)
Breakdown of job duties:
- Following all safety requirements in the shop.
- Verifying parts.
- Controlling scheduling within Quality Control Department.
- Verifying gages being used are in good working condition, and current on calibration. (Calibrations are maintained by Tool Assistant)
- Check all paperwork is complete and correct before moving part to next step.
- Verifying that all customer requirements are met before releasing part to ship to customer.
- Cleanliness of work area, and tools returned to Q.C., or Tool Crib.
Miscellaneous:
The following is what they may need to assist in. (These responsibilities are not the normal job duties.)
- Ballooning of Prints, and creating Data Sheets
- De-burr.
There will be times when the Quality Control will be required to perform duties that our outside the duties listed above. They will still need to complete these tasks when asked by the personnel they report too.

Monday to Thursday, 7am-6pm
