CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking an Advanced CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs for various machining processes. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, precision measurement, and the ability to work collaboratively within a manufacturing environment. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Develop and modify CNC programs using software tools such as CATIA and AutoCAD.

Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to create accurate machining instructions.

Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in programming.

Set up and operate CNC lathes and other machinery, ensuring proper tooling is used.

Conduct regular inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to maintain quality standards.

Troubleshoot programming issues and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.

Maintain documentation of programming changes, setups, and machine operations.

Skills

Proficient in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc controls preferred.

Strong understanding of GD&T principles.

Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA and AutoCAD for design purposes.

Experience with precision measuring tools including calipers and micrometers.

Knowledge of tooling requirements for various machining operations.

Ability to read and interpret technical schematics effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
