Delivery Driver

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and punctual Delivery Driver to transport goods from our warehouse to customers or retailers. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring timely, safe, and efficient deliveries. This position may involve local or long-distance driving depending on the company’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Goods: Safely and efficiently transport goods to various destinations.

Ensure Timely Deliveries: Follow the delivery schedule and route plans to meet deadlines.

Load and Unload Cargo: Assist with the loading and unloading of products, ensuring items are secure and handled properly.

Verify Delivery Documents: Ensure delivery invoices, packing slips, and other documents are accurate and signed by recipients.

Inspect Vehicle: Perform basic checks on the vehicle before and after each shift, ensuring it’s in good working order.

Customer Service: Provide excellent service by communicating professionally with customers and addressing any issues or concerns.

Maintain Delivery Records: Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.

Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is essential.

Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry items, sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds.

Excellent Navigation Skills: Familiarity with local roads and GPS systems for efficient route planning.

Good Communication: Ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.

High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent experience).

Experience: Previous delivery driving experience is a plus, though not always required.

Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and stay on schedule.

Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy when delivering goods and handling paperwork.
