We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for a GIS System Engineer to assist our client onsite at Quantico Base, VA in implementing advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyze and solve technical problems, and optimize performance and organization. The candidate will consult with end users on advanced enterprise deployments, architectures and integration topics. This is an onsite position at Quantico Base, Virginia.

Responsibilities of the GIS System Engineer:

• Deploy and configure ArcGIS in a wide variety of environments across operation systems, cloud providers, security architectures, customer types, and organizations, to meet the customer's service level agreement.

• Plan and execute the migration of content from one ArcGIS deployment to another, encompassing different architectures, deployment strategies, and software components.

• Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, providing guidance for platform components, such as storage, networking, and security.

• Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.

• Collaborate internally to help customer organizations align their technical objectives and business goals with Esri's technology platform.

The following are the requirements of GIS System Engineer:

• US Citizen.

• Active U.S. Passport.

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI.

• Bachelor's in computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field.

• 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities.

• Experience designing, implementing and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server, and online).

• Domain experience with DoD and IC customers.

• Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.

• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#.

• Familiarity with network concepts and topics, such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing.

• Experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

The following are desired capabilities and experience of the GIS System Engineer:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in SQL, Database Admin, Esri software, and geodatabases.

• One or more industry-standard IT certifications, such as Esri, CompTIA Security +, Microsoft, Amazon.

• Experience with Esri software including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Runtime and their associates APIs or interfaces.

• Cloud-based system operations (SysOps).

The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $120,000-$135,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
