Established in 1976 GRM LLC aka GRC Management is a privately held real estate investment advisor. GRC provides property and management services for a wide variety of Tri-State residential communities through dozens of offices in the area. GRC oversees such communities as government-assisted and public housing, fair-market housing, cooperatives, and condominiums. Our portfolio is quite diverse from affordable housing {Section 8, Section 202, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC)}to several thousand rent stabilized rentals. Our experience includes properties that fall under numerous government programs. These programs include Project-based Section 8, Section 236, Senior Housing Programs, LIHTC, Mitchell-Lama, Low- and Moderate-income rentals and Section 8 RAD. GRC Management is seeking a Collection Agent to service locations in New York and New Jersey.
We have an opening for an astute & dynamic Collections Agent. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced environment and possess at least 2 years of expertise in all phases of rent collections and receivables. Specific duties will include (but are limited to):
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and review the Affordable Receivable Aging Summary for assigned properties.
- Identify & prepare rental late notices based on established guidelines.
- Conduct proactive outreach to tenants via phone.
- Assess cases requiring legal action in the second month.
- Ensure leases are in effect, ledgers are accurate – initiate legal proceedings with assigned attorney firms.
- Prepare late charge lists as needed.
- Review subsidy reports and ascertain the reason for the delinquency.
- Collaborate with Property Managers and Accounts Receivable to resolve billing disputes.
- Track and manage payment agreements, court stipulations, and repair due dates.
- Coordinate court appearances and evictions with attorneys, property managers, and marshals.
- Provide ledgers to attorneys prior to court dates.
- Monitor payments for tenants with issued warrants.
- Update Yardi legal cards based on status reports.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Deliver an exceptional work product
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Yardi Voyager.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- College degree / some college coursework is acceptable.
