Production Associate

Job Description

Position Summary:

Assist in the manufacturing and assembling of all phases of industrial filters. Provide various laborious support functions to general manager on an as needed basis.

Principal Job Functions:

Fabricates and assembles products and more according to directions.

Reads process travelers, blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.

Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.

Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.

Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed. Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.

Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education - High school diploma or equivalency required

Skills:

Ability to read and understand work instructions and/or drawings.

Able to read a tape measure/measure in general.

Detail-oriented and consistent.

Works well as a productive member of a team.

Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.

Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.

Equipment to be used:

Manufacturing - Computerized shipping system, Slitter, spot welder, staplers, shears, squeeze table, heat table, pneumatic tools, and other various hand and power tools

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to squeeze with their hands and have the manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.

Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.

Must have ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and/or components.

Must be able to wear gloves and ear protection.

Must be able to stand up to 8-10 hours a day.

Must be able to lift over head

Must be able to bend and lift.

Must be able Climb ladder.

Must be able to operate large machinery.

Mental Demands

Must be able to read and write

Perform basic math calculations

Operate computer system

Working Conditions:

Work in a manufacturing setting with machinery noise

Work outside periodically
