ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- A strong understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations. Ability to develop instructions and program machining equipment primarily for Haas VF-4SS and Haas CNC Lathe.
- Work with trade leads and management to optimize productivity through maximized efficiency in machining programming and procedures
- Understand and utilize safety standards and precautions
- Use of CAD/CAM software to program machine - Fusion 360
- Set-up tooling and purchase necessary set-ups for processes
-Maintaining all revision control on programs and setup documentation
- Determine best tooling and cutting speeds/feeds for material
- Contribute to drawing review by offering changes to improve production
-Assures continuous production and alerts management when production is or may be compromised
-Provides consistent ideas for process improvements
- Able to work overtime, on deadlines and on weekends when needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a well-rounded lead fabricator, with ability to head-up CNC department. Responsible for writing code, programming, training and overseeing machine operators on Haas VF-4SS and Haas CNC Lathe as well as Manual Machines.
- Able to create schedule for machining centers based on production schedule.
- Familiar with steel and aluminum.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years CNC Programming experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in G-Code and CNC vertical mill programming.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software is a must – Solidworks/Fusion 360/Mastercam.

- Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem solving, system analysis, and mathematical skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be physically fit, able to lift 50 pounds, able to work during inclement weather, and in loud environments.
- The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to be able to easily stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Summary
As a CNC Vertical Mill and Lathe Programmer/Machinist, you will be integral to our manufacturing operations, reporting directly to the Production Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include programming and operating CNC milling and lathe machines to produce precision components. Utilizing your core skills in blueprint reading and machining, along with premium skills in CAM programming and SolidWorks, you will ensure high-quality output. Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of GD&T will be essential as you collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
