Welder/Fabricator

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components based on technical drawings and specifications. You must be proficient in various welding techniques, capable of reading blueprints, and able to work with a variety of metals.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Weld and fabricate metal components using MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core techniques.

Cut, grind, and shape metal parts using hand tools and power tools.

Assemble structural metal products and ensure precise alignment and fit.

Inspect finished products for quality and conformance to specifications.

Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.

Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.

Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a welder/fabricator (typically 2+ years).

Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a welding environment.

Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.

Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CNC cutting, plasma cutting, or press brake operation.

Previous work in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Work Environment:

Shop and field work; exposure to heat, noise, and metal fumes.

Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) is mandatory.
