Cherry Picker Operator Job Summary

Our office is recruiting for a dependable and experienced Cherry Picker Operator. This is an order picking role, so your main tasks will involve using the forklift and cherry picker machine to retrieve items from warehouse shelves for shipment and helping package and label them for order fulfillment. Other tasks include keeping track of inventory changes and completing daily production reports. Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift and high reaching cherry picker, and shipping and receiving experience. All applicants must be able to pass a drug test and background check. RESUME IS REQUIRED OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Cherry Picker Operator Duties and Responsibilities

Use a cherry picker and forklift to place or remove large items on warehouse shelves

Package and label items for shipment

Keep track of shipments and product relocations within the warehouse

Use a cherry picker/forklift with a work platform to elevate workers so they can check inventory

Follow all safety regulations

Assist with other tasks as needed, including loading and unloading delivery trucks

Cherry Picker Operator Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)

3 years minimum of experience operating a cherry picker AND forklift

Solid resume and ability to pass 7 year nationwide background check

Ability to complete heavy lifting as needed

Customer service/ability to carry yourself in a professional manner

OSHA certification (preferred)

Hand-eye coordination

Mechanical skills

Physical stamina
