Company in the 77023 area, a small business specializing in protective coatings equipment rentals, sales, repair, and technical services. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and high-quality products to our clients. We are currently looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team and help deliver exceptional service and solutions to our customers.
Position Overview:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with product inquiries, order status, pricing, and technical support. You’ll work closely with other departments, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless communication and efficient service. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction: Answer and route incoming phone calls, emails, and website inquiries. Provide knowledgeable technical support directly or by coordinating with other team members.
Order Management: Enter and maintain customer account information in the ERP system. Process customer purchase orders (POs) and prepare invoices.
Sales Support: Provide accurate pricing and formal quotations to customers. Assist outside sales representatives with order processing and customer follow-up.
Product Research: Search for parts, products, and equipment specifications using manuals and online resources to assist customers.
Vendor Communication: Liaise with vendors and parts dealers to confirm product availability, pricing, lead times, and troubleshoot issues.
Inventory Management: Physically check inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to fulfill customer orders.
Order Fulfillment: Create work orders for equipment builds and assemblies. Pull, pack, and ship customer orders as needed.
Customer Payments: Process customer payments via credit card, cash, or check.
Issue Resolution: Track and follow up on customer orders, returns, warranties, and complaints. Resolve customer issues professionally and promptly.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret parts manuals, conversion charts, and other technical documents.
Mathematical Skills: Basic ability to perform calculations for pricing, discounts, margins, and taxes.
Computer Skills: Proficient with data entry and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with ERP systems and CRM software is a plus.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and walk between buildings on the property.
Language Skills: Spanish fluency.
Industry Knowledge: Basic mechanical or industrial supply knowledge (e.g., fittings, hoses, valves, pressure ratings) is a plus.Company Description
