We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative with "Flooring" knowledge/experience to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong desire for more than the typical daily sales grind positions that most companies offer, so you can scratch out a miserable income. For the ideal candidate, this will be a great opportunity to build a substantial income with a product and price point that facilitates repeat business, which is key to achieving success in this industry. This role involves direct sales in and outside the office.
Who We Are:
We are NOT Corporate America, so you can chill out now. We are a laid-back, privately owned, direct-to-consumer Flooring Distributor in Middle Tennessee. We import and stock over a million square feet of products and distribute them directly to the repeat buyers. We have products that our clientele can not buy “direct” through traditional outlets. Until now, buying from the distributor has only been available to the "retail stores". Our sales model makes these products available to thousands of repeat buyers in one of the fastest-growing cities in America, who come back frequently to purchase the products they use regularly for less than the retailer stores can buy them for. This is the next best thing to residual income as it gets without joining an MLM.
Qualifications
A brain
Reliable transportation
Ability to calculate basic numbers fast
Strong work ethic and good communication skills
Minimum 3 years sales, installation, or customer service in flooring OR
If not 3 years exp then a good list of contractors/builders you have a relationship with
Bilingual is a huge plus, but not necessary
What the First Couple of Months Looks Like
As a sales rep with us, you would need to start out for the first 4 - 8 weeks making calls and scheduling appointments with new prospects (at our warehouse or their location) to show them products they are currently buying but paying too much for. Come to the office when you need, but without scheduled office hours in the first 4 - 8 weeks. (There are thousands of available prospects in the Nashville market) After you’ve had the opportunity to start building your clientele over a couple of months, we’d expect you to work a scheduled 6 hours a day in the office and the rest of your time in the field pursuing new prospects. At some point, your customers will be coming in unannounced, and they expect to see you most of the time. Your job is to work the sale from beginning to end. Make the sale, print the invoice, and in some cases, load them out. Commissions are paid on every sale and are a percentage of the profit. Commissions tend to range from about $50 to $1200 on not just the first sale, but every sale after that. Once you’re at a point where your customers are coming to purchase, and you’re in the field, you still earn the full commission as if you sold the product. We keep the warehouse stocked with high-margin products, and you make the sales when your customers come in. Build your customer base as large as you can imagine. There are no caps on the amount you can make, and we do not cut your commission rate because you work hard and do well.
