Commercial HVAC Technician

Job Description

We are a reputable mechanical contracting company seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the service and maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, with some exposure to residential units in smaller buildings. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of HVAC systems and controls across different equipment brands.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment in commercial and industrial settings

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve HVAC system issues

· Replace or repair faulty components, parts, or wiring as needed

· Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment

· Service and adjust HVAC controls across various equipment brands

· Conduct system testing to ensure all systems are operating efficiently

· Communicate effectively with clients regarding service performed and recommended maintenance

· Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and system tests

· Stay current with industry advancements and new HVAC technologies

Requirements:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience at the Journeyman level in HVAC service and repair

· Refrigeration certification is required

· Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with team members

· Strong troubleshooting expertise in HVAC systems and components

· Familiarity with refrigeration, hydronic, and airside systems

· Comfortable servicing HVAC controls for a variety of equipment brands

· In-depth understanding of control systems and their operation (Note: We do not install control systems but manipulate and adjust them to ensure proper functioning)

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Proficiency with iPads, computers, and service-related software

· Clean driving record and valid driver's license
