We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Set-Up Machinist to join our dynamic team in Grantsburg, WI. As a Set-Up Machinist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our machining operations run smoothly and efficiently. Set up and operate various types of machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications.

Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.

Adjust machine settings and tooling as necessary to achieve desired tolerances.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues.

Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Specifc technical training or vocational training is preferred, but not required.

8+ years of machine set-up experience required.

15+ years of machining experience required.

Computer programming and CAD/CAM experience required.

Advanced blueprint reading and granite plate measuring skills required.

Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

Knowledge of DOD and/or aerospace manufacturing preferred

Possess strong organization and communication skills.

Knowledge of Quality assurance practices and procedures, including both ISO 9001 and AS9100

Knowledge of Government contractings requirements.

You should be proficient in:

CNC Tooling

CAD Software

Machine Setups for Production Runs

Excellent Communication Skills

Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

Blueprint Reading

Machines & technologies you'll use:

CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Mazak, Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)

CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)

CAD Software

CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Mazak, Dmg Mori Seiki)

CNC Lathe (5+ axis) (Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)

Salary info:

$32 - $40 / hr
