Maintenance Supervisor – Permanent - straight night shift - $95K to $100K
TIMES: Mon. to Friday - 10:00pm to 7:00am
LOCATION: North York, Ontario
Qualifications / Requirements:
* Red Seal / Inter Provincial trade license (Millwright or Electrician, may consider others) preferred ; may consider without subject to experience
* Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in food industry in addition to other maintenance background
* Minimum 5 years of related technical manufacturing experience
* Experience in a high speed / automated environment
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities within time constraints
* Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally, to all levels of the organization
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong team orientation
* Working knowledge of Safety Standards of Equipment
* Good attention to detail and organizational skills
* Able to uphold company values and maintain confidentiality
* Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook)
Duties:
• Responsible to manage and direct all Maintenance employees in day-to-day activities in accordance with company core values
• Responsible for conducting and issuing performance reviews ; provide informal feedback, ongoing communication through daily meetings
• Identify training needs within the maintenance department
• Ensure all legislative training requirements are maintained
• Responsible for monitoring attendance and reviewing and authorizing weekly payroll
• Assist and support employees with any issues or concerns
• Responsible for issuing discipline as required
• Assign and distribute weekly / daily preventative maintenance work orders
• Evaluate existing and potential suppliers
• Actively participate in plant audits (Safety, HACCP) to ensure maintenance activities are compliant
• Monitor results, analyze results and initiate any needed corrective actions to achieve company financial objectives
• Promote Continuous Improvement and take advantage of cost reduction opportunities
• Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area
• Plant and direct the efficient utilization of all equipment and manpower
• Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies
• Ensure compliance with all H&S policies within the department; conduct Accident Investigations, identify and report hazards in the workplace, and actively work to prevent accidents, injuries in the workplace
• Ensure compliance with all GMPs, HACCP, and company procedures
• Other duties as assigned
