Delivery Driver/Shipping Clerk

A moving company is seeking an individual who can use a company vehicle to make pick up and deliveries and perform a variety of shipping duties. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Job Duties:

Drive a company vehicle as needed for delivery and pick up of materials and then load and unload items

Obtain Lift Truck Operation Certification through an Internal Lift Truck Certification Program

Perform general packaging of product to ensure high quality delivery of products to meet customer specification

Responsible for quality, production standards, safety, scrap, and documentation records

Maintain accurate documentation and piece counts as required for all parts being packaged

Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation

Transport product throughout the facility by use of pallet jack and lift truck

Use basic hand and inspection tools, shop math, and computer

Assist in other general shop functions as needed

Qualifications:

Must have previous driving and shipping experience with a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Must have excellent communication skills to effectively work with customers, vendors, and employees

Must have the ability to obtain Lift Truck Operation Certification through an Internal Lift Truck Certification Program

Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds without using a crane or hoist

Must have basic math and computer skills and able to use hand and inspection tools

Must have the ability to work in a team environment to achieve established goals per a production schedule

Must be able to work well with others under minimal supervision

Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for a minimum of 8 hours

Must have a polite and friendly personality with a neat appearance

Must be able to maintain confidentiality
