We are seeking a highly experienced Program Director to lead and manage complex IT programs within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT program management, demonstrated experience with DoD systems, and the ability to lead innovative technology initiatives in a mission-critical environment. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage large-scale IT programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and mission.
Oversee program lifecycle from planning and initiation through execution and closure.
Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders, including government personnel, contractors, and technical teams.
Develop and implement program strategies, risk management plans, and performance metrics.
Manage budgets, schedules, and procurement of IT hardware and software.
Provide leadership in researching and deploying innovative technologies to enhance mission effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with all applicable DoD standards, regulations, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Citizenship and Clearance:
Must be a US Citizen
Must have and maintain a current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
Education:
Bachelor's degree in IT-related field (required)
Experience:
10 or more years IT program management experience
5 or more years IT program management experience in DoD environment
Certifications:
Project Management Professional certification
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations certification
DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II certification
Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge in planning, directing, and managing projects/operations in an organization similar in size to this acquisition
Demonstrated experience with researching and fielding new and innovative technologies
Demonstrated experience in procurement of IT hardware and software
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in IT-related field
Work Environment and Physical Demand:
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
May require ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
