Overview:

We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations across a diverse portfolio of healthcare and marketing businesses. This role is ideal for a finance professional with 6+ years of progressive accounting experience who is ready to step into a leadership role with a direct path toward CFO.

You'll serve as the company's financial backbone-managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and driving financial insights that support strategic decisions. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting, experience in both creative and clinical environments, and a readiness to grow into a broader executive leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily financial operations including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and cash management

Own the month-end and year-end close processes; prepare accurate financial statements and management reports

Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and variance reports

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and healthcare finance standards

Collaborate with leadership to support financial planning, vendor negotiations, and cost control initiatives

Evaluate financial systems and implement improvements to increase efficiency and scalability

Manage and mentor accounting staff; help shape a high-performing finance team

Serve as a strategic partner across departments, offering financial insights to support business growth

Assist with audits, investor reporting, and due diligence processes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward certification is a plus)

6+ years of accounting and financial management experience

Experience in both marketing/advertising and healthcare environments highly preferred

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

Strong understanding of financial regulations, GAAP, and compliance requirements

Excellent analytical skills, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with non-financial stakeholders

Motivated to grow into a CFO or senior financial leadership position
