BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Electrical Engineer, lay out high-speed multi-layer printed circuit boards using Altium design software. Design PCBs to IPC standards with controlled impedance requirements of up to 120 ohms. Prepare the associated Gerber data package, fabrication drawing, assembly drawing, and BOMs. Manage data package into PLM for approvals and release. Layout power supply boards with critical part placement of power regulator circuits. Communicate well with the mechanical engineer to produce error-free designs in a timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The applicant MUST have the following qualifications:

5-10 years of experience layout of high-density multi-layer boards using Altium Designer.

3-5 years of layout experience designing high-speed boards with differential pair and match length requirements.

3-5 years of experience designing boards per IPC and ASME Y14.5 Standards.

Excellent digital, written, and verbal communication skills, especially in the context of working with hardware engineers and mechanical engineers to complete a layout.

Troubleshooting and resolving design issues.

Detail oriented.

U.S. Citizenship required.

The WANTS for this position are:

Expert-level experience with PADS Design software

Experience with SolidWorks software

Experience with analog PCB layout design as relates to 10MHz signals

Leadership Experience:

Leading and mentoring a team of PCB designers:

Assigning tasks and managing workloads

Providing technical guidance and support

Reviewing the work of other designers

Ensuring adherence to design standards and procedures

Monitoring progress and identifying potential issues

Salary Range: $90,000/yr - $140,000/yr DOE
