Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Documentation Specialist to support ongoing telecommunications infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and management of technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility throughout the documentation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, and maintain technical engineering documentation using:
Adobe Acrobat
Autodesk Fusion 360
Microsoft Visio
MicroStation or AutoCAD
Microsoft Word and Excel
Index and track telecommunications equipment and assets across multiple internal databases
Ensure proper version control, revision history, and metadata accuracy for all documentation
Develop user guides, job aids, and training documentation on documentation standards and tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support documentation needs in an Agile environment
Prepare and distribute technical reports, specifications, and project-related correspondence
Handle multiple documentation projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and quality standards
Follow change management and compliance documentation processes
Required Qualifications
Associate degree with at least 2 years of experience in engineering documentation
OR
High school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant documentation experience
Proficient in tools such as Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD or MicroStation, Microsoft Visio, and MS Office Suite
Strong technical writing, formatting, and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
Capable of coordinating with various internal teams and external stakeholders
Willingness to adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Telecommunications Engineering or Infrastructure Documentation
Familiarity with construction documentation standards
Experience with project tracking or ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA
Experience working in Agile or fast-paced development environments
Basic understanding of project management concepts and best practices
