McNeese State University invites qualified applicants and nominations for the position of Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Business Disciplines. This is a full-time, unclassified, 9-month, tenure-track position. The appointment begins in August 2025.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

The Assistant Professor is responsible for excellent teaching, a commitment to intellectual contributions, and service to the profession and the university. Main teaching duties will include but are not limited to management accounting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference will be given to candidates possessing a terminal degree in accounting or related discipline. The successful candidate’s research record should be in compliance with AACSB-International’s standard on faculty qualifications. Applicant must hold SA status (Scholarly Academic) by the job start date. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching, a commitment to intellectual contributions, and a desire to provide service to the university and the profession.

Transcripts from Foreign Universities: Prospective faculty submitting transcripts from foreign universities or schools must have the coursework evaluated for equivalency to United States-accredited coursework by a University-approved agency. The prospective faculty member is responsible for the cost of the evaluation. McNeese typically accepts evaluations by World Education Services or Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.
