This recruitment is being conducted under the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, a targeted outreach initiative featuring an expedited hiring process, fast-tracking qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai’i.

Salary: $5,354 to $6,778 per month (SR-21, Step C to I)

Duties Summary

Plan, organize and direct security operations at the Aloha Stadium involving the enforcement of law and order, including emergency evacuation, and property protection. Stadium security includes 24-hour contract security, and part-time, intermittent security at events directed through subordinate supervisors. Coordination and review is also made of private security provided by promoters for their events. This position is authorized police powers of arrest. It controls the handling of major incidents, and supervises and participates in investigating assaults, personal injury, theft, automobile accidents, vandalism, etc. Necessary coordination is maintained with the Honolulu Police Department, Attorney General's Office, insurance companies and others.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Legal Authorization to Work Requirement:

The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

General Experience: Three (3) years of responsible, full-time technical and/or analytical work experience which demonstrated the ability to analyze a problem or issue, identify the nature of information, facts and other material required for its resolution, conduct fact finding, evaluate and analyze the information uncovered, draw conclusions and prepare reports of findings. The experience must have demonstrated the ability to develop logical recommendations for a course of action, read and comprehend complex materials such as laws, rules and regulations; and deal effectively with others in obtaining or providing information.

Law Enforcement Experience: Two (2) years of responsible full-time law enforcement experience. At least one (1) year of the required experience must have involved active participation in planning, organizing and coordinating a security program for a facility and infrastructure protection, public protection and emergency preparedness and response.

Supervisory Experience: One (1) year of supervisory work experience as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements
