Job Title: Chief Estimator

The Chief Estimator is the primary member of the estimating team who has overall responsibility for the estimating department. They are responsible for the oversight of the estimating process for all projects bids and awarded, and will use established procedures, methods and processes for the estimating department. They will oversee analysis of past performance on projects and establish estimating standards for all future estimates based on such analysis and assist in oversight of the historical cost database and bid management and estimating software.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the estimating process for all project bids, ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards.

Assign responsibilities to the estimating team for each bid and ensure comprehensive scope confirmation through thorough review of project plans.

Conduct go/no-go reviews with the COO, identifying risks and potential issues related to project estimates.

Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and information for accurate bid preparation.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction and material cost trends, and analyze alternative methods for cost efficiency.Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Administration, or relevant experience in estimating.

Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Chief or Lead Estimator in a mid to large-sized commercial general contracting firm.

Strong understanding of all construction divisions and ability to break down operations into manageable activities.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present and justify estimations under pressure.

Willingness to travel as required for project assessments and collaboration.Some of the Benefits Include:
