Job Description
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join the Ahrens DeAngeli Law Group team. This full-time, in-office Legal Assistant position will work closely with multiple attorneys in a small team handling estate planning, probate, trust administration, guardianship, and elder law cases. This is a fast moving, rewarding job.
Some responsibilities may include:
Answering client calls
Maintaining attorney calendars
Planning and scheduling appointments and events
Greeting and assisting onsite clients or guests
Drafting of correspondence and other formal documents including simple estate planning and probate documents (i.e., memorandums, deeds, beneficiary designations, etc.)
Helping organize and maintain case files
Mailing correspondence to clients
Processing/filing mail
We are looking for someone who will be kind and warm with our great clients, who has great attention to detail, can meet deadlines, and can apply themselves fully to an interesting and rewarding job. Prior experience in Wills and trusts, guardianships, Probates, court filings, the legal field generally, Microsoft office, or Prolaw software is a plus, but not required. While experience is valuable, what will matter to be successful in this position is a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
