About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Legal Counsel with a strong background in contracts and working knowledge of tax law to support our legal operations and guide strategic decisions. This hybrid position is based in Missouri, with the flexibility of remote work days. If you bring sound legal judgment, effective communication, and a high level of technological fluency, we want to connect.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts to support operational and strategic initiatives.

Advise stakeholders on contract structure, compliance, risk, and mitigation strategies.

Provide legal counsel on federal and state tax matters and help guide tax strategy and compliance.

Stay current on relevant legal and regulatory developments and interpret their impact on operations.

Support dispute resolution, including audits and regulatory inquiries, as needed.

Produce and maintain clear internal documentation and legal reporting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to company-wide initiatives.

Manage your workload independently while staying aligned with team goals.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.

Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Solid experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.

Working knowledge of tax law (CPA or tax-specific credentials a plus).

Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

Strong organizational and analytical skills with an ability to self-report effectively.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive, etc.).

Comfortable working with CRMs, cloud-based platforms, and collaboration tools.

Team-oriented mindset with a track record of professionalism and reliability.
