IT Security Systems Analyst

Job Description

A Fortune 500 company is seeking an experienced IT Security Systems Analyst to help maintain and enhance the security posture of its systems, infrastructure, and applications. In this role, you’ll work closely with IT and internal departments to ensure ongoing compliance with internal security policies and external regulations. You’ll play a key role in access management, security tooling, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate IT systems to identify security risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement

Conduct gap assessments against internal policies and industry security standards

Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls including:

User access reviews

Privileged activity monitoring

Segregation of duties

Manage identity and access management (IAM) processes and protocols

Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners)

Monitor system activity and ensure timely remediation of security vulnerabilities

Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and demonstrating compliance

Help develop and promote security awareness initiatives across the organization

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of professional experience in IT security, systems security, or a related role

Strong hands-on experience with IAM, IT controls, and cybersecurity principles

Experience with a Governance, Risk Management and Compliance tool (GRC) such as ServiceNow, Audit Board, Workiva or Pathlock is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of enterprise security technologies: firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention, antivirus

Familiarity with cloud security best practices (Oracle Cloud, AWS, etc.)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentCompany Description
