This position is located in Mountain View, CA and will require you to be full-time on-site.

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Inventory & Procurement Manager to rebuild and lead our inventory, procurement, and material handling functions from the ground up. If you thrive on solving systemic challenges, designing lean processes, and ensuring GAAP audit readiness—we need you to safeguard the backbone of our robotics operation. You will be responsible for all purchasing, procurement, and material handling for the entire organization while maintaining strict compliance.

Your Mission:

Take full ownership of our inventory management and procurement strategy, spanning HQ and satellite locations.

Drive transformation: Diagnose current pain points, design best-in-class systems, and implement lean practices to eliminate waste and inaccuracies.

Lead with precision: Oversee purchasing, receiving, BOMs, work orders, cycle counts, and reconciliation, ensuring real-time accuracy in NetSuite ERP.

Maintain Knightscope’s commitment to excellence with on-time material availability, vendor compliance, and inventory quality control.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Manage and execute all purchasing and procurement functions, including material handling.

Organize, train, mentor, and manage team members to meet goals and uphold company standards.

Collaborate across-departments with engineering, quality assurance, service, facilities, finance, and accounting to streamline efforts and foster growth.

Ensure all components and supplies are on time, accurate, and of Knightscope quality standards.

Processes

Rapidly understand & audit the current Knightscope processes to a deep level.

Design, implement, and improve those processes to optimize efficiency and maintain strict audit compliance.

Conduct & oversee all inventory audits.

Fully own the inventory levels and set expectations for satellite teams’ inventory reporting.

Use NetSuite ERP to manage: BOMs, Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, and logistics.

Maintain a high level of quality standards and resolve non-conformance issues.

Assist in the collection, preparation, and analysis of data and procedures.

Be a leader and driving force of Lean practices and continuous improvement activities - ensure the workplace remains tidy (5S).

Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track vendor performance.

Prepare and present regular reports to senior management.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, or relevant field (or equivalent certifications).

Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing inventory management, with at least 3 years in a management role.

Deep expertise in NetSuite ERP or similar enterprise systems.

Strong understanding of GAAP inventory controls, audits, BOMs, work orders, and logistics processes.

Proven track record of process optimization, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Experience managing a complex set of objectives and team goals in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills, determination, and remarkable drive to succeed.
