Job Title: Help Desk Support Technician – SME Level (Onsite)
Primary Skills: provide support for M365 Apps, remote assistance, desktop\laptop troubleshooting, software installation, hardware implementation, deployment, basic Active Directory Mgmt.
Location: Jackson, MS (Onsite only.) Candidates must be local or will relocate to Jackson, MS area.
Work Location: 3771 Eastwood Dr:, Jackson, MS, 39211
Work arrangement: 40 hours/ week

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Client has a current goal for every community to effectively use a World-Class Data System to improve student outcomes. This goal has an outcome to increase the availability of quality data to drive decisions that improve student outcomes. We are planning to satisfy this goal in part by modernizing our current student information system along with improving the quality of data in connected systems. This will include web-based application development, and creation of dashboards and reports that will improve access, accuracy, and ease of use for all stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Overall IT experience: Beginner: 1-2 years, Intermediate: 3-5 years, Advanced: 5-7 years, SME: 7+ years.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree. Required.
- Certifications:
- Excellent communication skills. Required.
- Experience working in a help desk environment. Required. 3 + yrs.
- Experienced with providing support for M365 Applications. Required. 3 + yrs.
- Experience providing remote assistance using various platforms. Required. 3 + yrs.
- Experience in desktop\laptop troubleshooting, and software installation. Required. 3 + yrs
- Hardware Implementation and Deployment. Required. 3 + yrs.
- Basic Active Directory Management. Required. 3 + yrs.
- Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Microsoft O365 experience. Highly desired.
- BMC Footprints Help Desk Experience. Highly desired.
- MAC OS Experience. Highly desired.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in information Technology or related field or equivalent experience required.
