Overview

The District is hiring for a tenure-track for an ELA Upper Grade in a K-6 building.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong communication skills

Ability to create a positive and emotionally healthy classroom learning environment

Ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of reading and writing abilities

Knoweldge of balanced literacy

Familiarity with standards-based grading and workshop model

Experience using data to inform instruction

Experience with writing instruction, including genre-based and process writing

Eagerness to contribute to the betterment of the school community

Strong technology skills

Desire to grow professionally

Adaptability to evolving curriculum needs and scheduling changes Qualifications Profile

Valid New Jersey K-6 teacher certification required

Middle School ELA endorsement a plus Education

Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Experience

Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.
