Ride, Inc is a growing small business specializing in the sales and distribution of high-quality shock mounts and electro-mechanical switches (through our subsidiary Pressure Controls) for a variety of industrial, defense related, and commercial applications. Our emphasis is on value-added, high-performance products, typically in difficult and challenging markets and applications. We are seeking an entry level, self-motivated, and results-oriented New Business Development Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth for Ride, Inc and its subsidiaries. This role will involve joint ventures, licensing, other marketing activities, looking into new applications/potential acquisitions, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and self-driven individual with a strong understanding of industrial sales and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities:

Market Research & Opportunity Identification:

Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new customers, industries, and applications for our products

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, potential trade shows, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Strategic Sales Planning & Execution:

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and expand market share.

Identify key target accounts and develop tailored sales approaches.

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, technical) to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies.

Lead Generation & Qualification:

Proactively generate new leads through various methods, including networking, cold outreach, industry events, and online research.

Qualify leads based on their potential and alignment with our product offerings.

Sales Presentations & Negotiations:

Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers, joint ventures, partnerships and licenses.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure new business while ensuring profitability.

Effectively communicate the value added, performance advantages of our product.

Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

Provide regular reports on sales progress, pipeline development, and market insights to management.

Develop accurate sales forecasts to support business planning.

Industry Knowledge & Development:

Stay up to date on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings in the shock mounts and switch markets.

Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and generate leads.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.

Proven track record of success in business development or sales, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sectors.

Experience selling technical products (knowledge of shock mounts and/or switches is a plus).

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.

Ability to travel occasionally within the USA.

Preferred Qualifications:

Existing network of contacts within relevant industries.

Technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain technical product specifications.

Experience working in a small business environment.Company Description
