Checkpoint Technologies, LLC located in San Jose, CA. is a vibrant, well-established manufacturer of automated laser scanning and emission detection systems for the semiconductor industry. We have a strong technological base and hold a leading market position in the US and overseas. At this time, we have an opening for a key electrical engineering professional.

You will perform a wide variety of tasks including production & service support, debugging, designing of circuits including hardware, software, and firmware. Hardware design includes Microcontroller circuits, Analog circuits, Prototype builds and PCB layout. Software / Firmware design includes Microcontrollers, Ladder logic and PLC programming. Product support includes component engineering and product build support / troubleshooting. Service support includes troubleshooting systems as needed. Must be able to use CAD for schematics and design software to perform tasks. The ability to apply sound engineering principles to accomplish goals is a must.

To be successful in this position Checkpoint requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. College graduates are welcome, as well as experienced professionals with 5 – 10 + years of experience in electronics or related fields. Candidate must have demonstrated expertise in the field of analog and digital circuitry. Knowledge in firmware, board design, PC interface and control interface is necessary. Experience in integrating electronics for electro-mechanical control is needed. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Salary Range: $90k - $160k (Depending on level of work experience, skill set & education)
