Mechanical Technician - Aluminum Extrusion

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team and play a critical role in the assembly and testing of 8020 aluminum extrusion structures and valve manifolds. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure all components are built accurately and functionally, following detailed mechanical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

8020 Assembly:

Construct aluminum extrusion structures based on engineering drawings and schematics.

Perform quality checks to verify dimensions and alignment with design specifications.

Valve Manifold Assembly:

Assemble and test valve manifolds and valve harnesses according to technical guidelines.

Conduct functional testing to ensure proper operation of all components.

Material Inspection & Check-in:

Verify accuracy of received 8020 materials against mechanical drawings.

Ensure all components are accounted for and meet quality standards.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers to understand and implement mechanical design requirements.

Provide feedback to improve designs and processes when needed.

Documentation & Tracking:

Record project time accurately and maintain clear assembly logs.

Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Success in This Role Means:

Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.

Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

Prior experience with 8020 aluminum framing systems.

Familiarity with pneumatic or valve systems.
