Job Description
We are looking find a Hardware Test Specialist to join its team responsible for the build of each asset that includes sensor and compute integration as well as wire harness and mechanical assembly execution.
In this role, you will perform configuration and end-of-line testing and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high-quality system integration in a safe and efficient work environment.
As a Hardware Test Specialist, you will:
Contribute to complex hardware builds by testing sensors, computers, and harnesses that integrate onto Class 8 truck platforms.
Conduct individual configuration and quality testing of compute and sensor hardware by following instructions.
Perform end-of-line (EOL) testing of AV systems with meticulous attention to detail and documentation.
Contribute to the setup of individual component test stations and fixtures with maximum efficiency by working with Engineering.
Ability to work independently.
Implement best practices in keeping a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, Logistics, and other relevant departments.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of experience in hardware testing
Familiarity with command and script executions on macOS and Linux environments
Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems in automotive or robotics applications (ADAS and autonomous vehicle experience is preferred)
Familiarity with quality control testing procedures and documentation of thorough testing
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
