Job title Wheel Loader Operator Reports to Yard Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Wheel Loader Operator shall operate the functions of transferring pipe material thru the stages of operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. He/she will ensure a safe and compliant operation during his/her shift.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain transfer and production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures. • Instruct yard assistant of the transfers and housekeeping operation.

• Employee verifies all loading and unloading of material for assurance. • Assists Inventory Control for verification of counts and material. • Routes trucks to loading and unloading destinations within the yard.

• Complete loading and unloading documentation when required.

• The employee is responsible for the racking of material per instruction. • Communicating to Supervisor or Yard Lead any problems with material, racks, or trucks.

• Assisting at processing inbound and outbound racks when needed.

• Employee must clock in and out during shifts. Any misrepresentation of time by the employee or co-worker for such employee shall be grounds for termination.

• Safety is our number one priority. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules. • Employee must report to the Yard Lead for briefing on daily tasks. • Assist Yard Supervisor with loading, unloading and verification of material.

• Employee must maintain good housekeeping ethics. Work area must be free and clear of debris. • Lift and transfer material in a safe manner as per safety regulations and instruction.

• Document, verify and record transfers via ERP Software System and/or hard copies.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Competencies

• Education: o A High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

• Years of Experience: o 1 to 3 years of Forklift Operation in an OCTG field.

• Job Knowledge: o Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. o Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and hand held technical devices. o Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. o Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.

• Personal Competencies: o Employee must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time when needed. o Employee must be able to respond to call outs when required

• Safety: o Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

• Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted on site. • The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly

• The ability to respond quickly to sounds

• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces

• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations

• The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds

• The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.

• Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.

• Ability to identify and distinguish colors. Direct Reports / Authorities

• Reports to the Yard Supervisor.
