Overview:
At Vino Grotta, we celebrate the art of food and wine, creating a menu that complements our extensive wine selection. As a Lead Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that delight our guests and enhance their dining experience.Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and dishes according to our menu standards, ensuring quality and consistency in every plate.
Cooking: Operating kitchen equipment and cook food items to perfection, adhering to recipes and portion sizes.
Presentation: Plate dishes beautifully, ensuring each presentation aligns with Vino Grotta's aesthetic and quality standards.
Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work station, following health and safety regulations at all times.
Management: Manage kitchen staff and work closely with front of the house staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service during busy periods.
Inventory Management: Lead inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages to the General Manager.
Menu Support: Contribute to menu development and daily specials, providing input based on seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a lead line cook or in a simlar kitchen role.
Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen sanitation.
Texas Food Manager certification.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
